Michael Kaeshammer

Saturday, March 7, 2026 - 8:00 PM CST

Something magical happens when Michael Kaeshammer sits at the piano. Sure, like all pianists, he plays 12 notes across 88 keys. But the musician and songwriter coaxes dazzling, kaleidoscopic sounds from his instrument in a way few can rival.

So, it’s no surprise that Turn It Up — Kaeshammer’s towering 15th album — is superb, a dynamic, rollicking collection though one stubbornly resistant to a single, catchall genre. “Eclectic yet accessible jazz-based pop” might come closest to the mark, but it doesn’t quite capture it all. Like his sprawling record collection, which houses everything from AC/DC to Erik Satie, Kaeshammer’s songs reflect his boundless appreciation of music in whatever form it takes.

Across a brilliant, globe-trotting career highlighted by nine tours of China, three appearances at the Olympics, and countless shows opposite international superstars, the German-born, B.C.-based Kaeshammer has electrified audiences with his indelible repertoire and consistently positive outlook on life which infuses his lyrics. “I am a very positive person,” confirms the seven-time JUNO Award nominee and unabashed foodie, who hosts cooking show Kaeshammer’s Kitchen on Vancouver Island’s CHEK TV. “I really love playing shows and being on-stage. If Turn It Up helps me to do more of that, then I’m all in. Music is my favourite thing to do.”

Cara Luft Album Release

Saturday, April 11, 2026 - 8:00 PM CST

One of Canada’s most acclaimed and much-loved singer-songwriters Cara Luft makes a long-anticipated return with a joyful solo album – her first in over 13 years. The culmination of a period of upheaval and transformation, the album is Cara’s most assured and personal work to date. Cara’s guiding principle was simple: to work with friends who embodied kindness, consideration and be generous of spirit.  From this ethos emerged the foundations of her new album and a trusted creative entourage she affectionately calls “the quadrangle of awesomeness”: musician/singer/songwriter Clayton Parsons (Creanbrook, BC), session musician/producer Soctt Poley (Liverpool, UK) and engineer Julia Graff (Vancouver, BC).  Recorded over 12 days in Vancouver, Cara, Scott and Clayton sang and played nearly everything themselves – guitars, banjos, electric bass and pedal steel – making it an intimate and cathartic experience. It showcases Cara’s remarkable musicianship and uncanny ability to sing about personal things that resonate deeply with the listener without descending into navel- gazing. “I want to create and offer a reflection of the human experience,” she explains. The result, My Heart Will Always Be, is a tour de force. The album is both a personal declaration and a celebration of music’s enduring power to heal, connect and bring joy.
